Driver 8

Roots-rock, independence and raw energy (1994–2005)
Driver8

Driver 8 was my first electric journey. The band was formed in late 1994 in El Puerto de Santa María, during an era when one didn't just choose to play: you simply couldn't help but join as the fourth member when Juanlu asked me. Looking back, I remember that mix of innocence and fury, when music was the only language we had to explain ourselves to the world.

Driver8 en directo

We were a band made of urgencies, of unventilated rehearsal rooms, and raw songs that embraced the American sounds we listened to without asking for permission. I still cherish the thrill of our performance on 'Los Conciertos de Radio 3' (RTVE) and those tours across the peninsula. We lived every small stage as if it were a last chance. It was our way of growing up, amidst feedback and indestructible friendships.

Driver8 — Archivo

In 2005, after three albums and a decade of intensity, we decided to stop. The hint of popularity that came with our last record in Spanish was unbearable. However, that wasn't an end, but a mutation. From that spark, projects like The Brass Buttons and other personal adventures were born. Driver 8 remains there, like a young and imperfect heartbeat, full of truth.

These are the three records we left for the road:
